OA's Project Ecuador

Opportunitas Aequa's first project is the collection of new and used soccer equipment to be transported and distributed to the rural province of Chimborazo in Ecuador. The goal of Project Ecuador is to deliver 1000 soccer balls, and 1000 pairs of soccer cleats to some of the most impoverished children in Ecuador.

Local Soccer Clubs Boost OA Closer to Target

With collections set-up by two of Victoria's largest soccer clubs, Bays United and Gordon Head, OA moved closer to Project Ecuador's goal of 1000 pairs of cleats and 1000 soccer balls.

The collection at the Bays United picture day, which was driven by huge support from club president Hazel Braithwaite, collected close to 200 pairs of cleats and over 100 soccer balls. Thank you Bays United Soccer, your contributions have greatly helped Project Ecuador!

Other major donations from both Prospect Lake, and Juan de Fuca soccer clubs have totaled over 200 balls and close to 100 pairs of cleats.

OA would like to thank everyone who helped set the collections up; with your help we are steadily moving toward our target.
